POTTSTOWN — Every two years, the Pottstown School District stages a district-wide musical, and this is one of those years.
This year's show is "Seussical," based on the work of Dr. Seuss. It involves students at all grade levels.
New this year is a special performance on Thursday, March 5, for students with issues sitting still, loud noises and other special sensory requirements.
Opening night is Friday, Feb. 28.
Show times are as follows:
- Friday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 29 at 2 p.m.
- Sunday, March 1 at 2 p.m.
- Thursday, March 5 at 7 p.m. (Special sensory performance for special needs audience)
- Friday, March 6 at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, March 2 at 2 p.m.
Tickets can also be purchased at the Pottstown High School office with cash or check for $8. Tickets purchased at the door on the night of the show are $10.
The Pottstown Foundation for Education also sold tickets to a gala luncheon to help raise money for the foundation, which helped to fund the musical. It will be held Saturday, Feb. 29, from 12 to 2 p.m. before the show.
Other sponsors include Exelon, Pottstown Hospital/Tower Health and Tompkins VIST Bank.
