METAIRIE, La. - It's been a mission in the making for nearly eight years.
Brian Henry has been on a mission to get as many Saints autographs as possible - on his back.
He then goes straight to a tattoo artist to make the autographs permanent.
But he never caught up with Drew Brees - until now.
On May 29, Henry got a tip - Brees was at a nearby Smoothie King signing autographs. Not only did Henry get the autograph, but Brees posted about the encounter on his personal Instagram account saying Henry is "one of the most loyal members of who dat nation".
Henry says the publicity has been overwhelming and unexpected. It landed him a meeting the following Saturday with Alvin Kamara and, this week, Henry visited the Saints training facility in Metairie where he added seven more players.
The highlight of his day at the camp was being recognized by Saints owner, Gail Benson. Henry told us she asked for his phone number and had her Public Relations people calling him within 20 minutes. He said she plans to sign but wants to set something up more special than on the sideline.
Henry filed for Guinness World Records Thursday as "the most tattooed autographs of one single sports team". He now has a total of 41. He's still on a mission for Sean Peyton and any others will be a great bonus.
