WEST CHESTER — A West Chester woman faces a host of criminal charges, including a felony charge, after she crashed her car Saturday night while allegedly drunk with five children inside, police said.
Kimberly Fahy, 38, of West Chester, was charged with DUI - BAC of .10 and less than .16, recklessly endangering another person and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to West Chester police, Fahy crashed her car on West Biddle Street at 8:35 p.m. May 8. Police said she had five children under the age of 11 when the crash occurred.
An investigation revealed that Fahy was under the influence of alcohol, police said. She was taken into custody.
Fahy was taken to Chester County Prison, where she posted 10 percent of a $30,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 14 in Chester County District Court at 9 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge William D. Kraut.
