NORRISTOWN — You may know the Norristown Garden Club through its popular Holiday House Tour, or Fall Flower Show, or the many other ways it brings the beauty of nature to the community year round.
But did you know one of the club's biggest goals is to provide scholarships that further the scope of horticulture education for many?
Currently, the Norristown Garden Club is offering scholarships to residents of Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery or Philadelphia counties who are enrolled in full-time, horticulture-related programs. Non-residents will beconsidered if attending a full-time, horticulture-related program at an academic institution in the above counties.
According to a press release, horticulture-related fields may include: Agriculture Education, Agronomy, Botany, Conservation, Environmental Concerns, Floriculture, Horticulture, Land Management,Landscape Architecture, and Plant Pathology.
