Staff Report

Attention "Cut It Out" Million Dollar Game contest players: It's almost time to stop clipping - and start counting - as you get ready to bid on a fabulous array of valuable prizes.

And to make the counting more fun - and rewarding - The Phoenix is offering readers a special bonus if they pre-register to have their contest "Bucks" validated and counted.

The last of the "AllAroundPhilly Bucks" that players can clip to bid on prizes appears in the paper today, Saturday, May 29. The Phoenix is once again featuring a special $25,000 in bonus "Bucks."

We will then begin the "Counting Days" portion of the contest, where readers can tally just how much they've collected in "Bucks." To assist in this process, The Phoenix will set up special counting stations at several locations in conjunction with our advertisers. Players can take their Bucks to be counted in advance of the game-ending auction on June 12 at the Fort Washington Expo Center. The Counting Days will be held between Wednesday, June 2, and Thursday, June 10. The schedule for the counting locations will be published beginning June 2 in The Phoenix.

The first thing we'd like readers to do is pre-register for the auction by going to the paper's Web site, www.phoenixvillenews.com, and clicking on the Cut It Out button. It could prove to be a profitable click for players, as well.

That's because when they pre-register, players can print out a registration form and get an additional $5,000 credit they can redeem when they come to a Counting Station Pre-registration site.

In addition, those players who get their "Bucks" counted in advance at one of the special counting stations will receive an additional 10 percent of their total counted and verified money - just for taking the time to pre-register.

There are a couple of other things we'd like players to do in order to help with the counting process: Please presort your "AllAroundPhilly Bucks" by denomination, grouping them by the value of the coupon. We'd suggest you put each grouping in an envelope. This will help speed up the counting process.

At the counting stations there will be two separate lines, one for "Bucks" grouped by denomination, and one for loose "Bucks."

Players will be told the total of the "AllAroundPhilly Bucks" and be given an official certificate they can then use to bid on prizes at the game-ending auction.

Contest players do not have to pre-register, but those who do will avoid the crush of players registering prior to the auction as well as earning bonus Bucks for their time and consideration.

Those wishing to pre-register should call The Phoenix Circulation Department at 610-933-8926 to let us know which of the counting stations you will visit to get your Bucks registered.

Contest players also can register and have their Bucks counted the day of the auction. Doors to the Fort Washington Expo Center will open 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 12. Those who need to have their "Bucks" counted should plan to arrive early. The auction is scheduled to run from noon-3 p.m.

A reminder to those who have pre-registered: Don't forget to bring your certificate to the auction. You'll need it to bid on prizes.

Once at the auction, you can bid on as many items as you like - but you can only "win" one item.

The contest is being presented simultaneously by the papers of the AllAroundPhilly newspaper network: the Daily Local News, West Chester; The Mercury, Pottstown; The Phoenix, Phoenixville; The Reporter, Lansdale; The Times Herald, Norristown; and the Delaware County Daily and Sunday Times.

What kind of prizes are up for grabs at the auction?

Readers can bid on a $1,000 membership package from the Phoenixville Area YMCA, a $1,000 guitar package from Zeswitz Music of Reading, a $1,000 cellular package from PCS Wireless of Phoenixville, a $2,350 mattress/furniture set from Dalo Furniture in Phoenixville and Morgantown, a two-year auto lease, valued at $5,000, from Springfield Ford, a 2003 Ford Taurus from Murphy Ford, a 2003 Dodge Neon from Miller Dodge, two wedding packages valued at $5,000 each from Embassy Suites Hotel at the Philadelphia International Airport, $10,000 in services from the American Clinic of Chiropractic in Folsom and a $10,000 extreme makeover from Fitness Together in Chester Springs.

All participants must be 18 years or older and be present at the auction to be a winning bidder.

Don't miss this chance to be a big winner in The Phoenix "Cut It Out" Million Dollar Game.

Good luck and happy clipping!
