EAST WHITELAND -- Overnight travel restrictions are scheduled on Route 202 at the Route 29 Interchange for the removal of a bridge pier and overhead utility lines, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.
On Friday from 12:01 to 5 a.m., Route 202's northbound and southbound left lane will be closed at the Route 29 interchange for the demolition of a bridge pier in the center of the highway.
From 10 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, intermittent 15-minute traffic stoppages will occur on northbound and southbound Route 202 at the Route 29 Interchange while a utility company takes down overhead lines.
Crews are working to rebuild the Route 29 bridge over Route 202 as part of a $23.3 million project to replace three bridges over the highway. This work is being done to make room for the future improvement of Route 202 between North Valley Road in Tredyffrin and the Route 30 Bypass Interchange in East Whiteland.
