LIMERICK >> A medical emergency led to a crash on Route 422 at Evergreen Road Tuesday night amid icy road conditions.
Limerick Police said the driver of a Jeep, who is not being identified at this time, was believed to have been suffering from a diabetic emergency when the crash occurred. Reports from the scene indicated that the vehicle hit several road signs on Route 422 in Limerick before getting off at Sanatoga. The vehicle reportedly drove through a parking lot and then headed the wrong way toward oncoming traffic along Rupert Road. It then skidded into a guardrail.
The driver, who had been the only occupant, was treated at the scene and taken home by a family member upon recovery.
No additional injuries were reported.
Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove police, along with Trappe Paramedics, responded to the scene.
