NORTH COVENTRY >> Scott Haga, 61, of Elverson, is in Chester County Prison after being unable to post bail in the wake of an incident involving a knife at the Riverside Bar on South Hanover Street.

At about 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, police were called to the bar by a bartender who said Haga threatened him with a “switchblade-type knife” after being refused service because he appeared too intoxicated, police said.

Haga was located on a Schuylkill River bank and was convinced to allow himself to be taken into police custody without incident, said Police Chief Robert Schurr.

He was charged with making terroristic threats, public drunkeness, simple assault and disorderly conduct.
