LIMERICK >> The Limerick Township Police Department is seeking help from the public to identify a credit card thief.

On June 13, a black man dressed in a Navy blue long sleeve shirt, jeans, a baseball cap and glasses was captured on surveillance exiting Target at 1824 E. Ridge Pike, after he attempted to use a victim’s credit card to purchase two iPads. The credit card was stolen from a wallet in Limerick Township. Target employees refused to sell the devices after they asked for ID and the suspect said he didn’t have ID available.

The suspect was at it again hours later when he tried to make a $4,962 purchase using the victim’s Bass Pro Shop Mastercard at a Macy’s department store.

Limerick Police Detective Patrick Roche says he’s hopeful someone will recognize the suspect.

“We’re hopeful he’s a local offender and somebody will recognize him,” he said.

Anyone with additional information on the identity of the man is asked to contact Roche at proche@limerickpa.org or 610-495-7909 ext. 233.
