Is your child interested in model rockets and/or bottle rockets? If so, the Chester County 4-H Program will be offering an Introduction to Rocketry class for children ages 8-18 from Monday, July 7, through Thursday, July 10, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Romano Chester County 4-H Center, Route 322, between Honey Brook and Guthriesville. Each member will construct and launch a model rocket and a soda bottle rocket. Principles of force and gravity will be taught as part of the class. Participants are asked to bring an empty 2 liter soda bottle to the first class; all other supplies will be provided. Cost for the class is $25.00 payable to Chester County Extension. To register for this class please call the Penn State Cooperative Extension Office at 610-696-3500. We reserve the right to cancel the class for insufficient registration.
