Staff report TRAPPE - A school bus carrying five young students crashed into a car around 3:08 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, after the bus driver lost consciousness, police said.
Joseph Alfred Flamini Jr. was driving the school bus, which stopped at a red light at the intersection of West Seventh and Main streets, police said. Flamini blacked out and the bus, which was in drive, rolled into the intersection and hit the passenger side of a vehicle driven by Stacey Lee Lotito of Collegeville, who was driving along Main Street.
Flamini regained consciousness after the crash, police said.
There were no reported injuries to the bus driver, the children he was transporting or to Lotito, according to police.
Flamini was taken to Phoenixville hospital for testing and observation after the crash, police said.
Lotito's vehicle sustained damage to the passenger side door and front and rear quarter panels, according to police. Both vehicles were operable after the accident, police said.
