ROSEMONT - Rosemont School of the Holy Child Pre-Kindergarten students celebrated Read Across America Day on March 2, the birthday of beloved children's author Dr. Seuss.

Children were entertained with a reading of Green Eggs and Ham by teacher Patty Kane in the Rosemont School cafeteria. Afterward, they helped prepare a snack of real green eggs and ham, consisting of eggs, ham and fresh herbs. Children wearing replicas of the familiar red-and-white cap from The Cat in the Hat helped crack eggshells and scramble the eggs under the direction of Cafeteria Manager Diana Bayer.
