DOWNINGTOWN — An employee at the Turkey Hill Market in Thorndale has tested positive for coronavirus.
According to a statement from Turkey Hill, an employee at its store at 549 Bondsville Road, Thorndale, tested positive for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
"We are taking all appropriate steps following guidance from local health officials," the statement said. "We closed the store at 9:30 p.m. on Monday, July 27 to be cleaned and sanitized by an industrial cleaning crew. The store will re-open in the next few days. We are grateful to all our customers for their patience and understanding during this time."
All employees who work at the store have been contacted and advised to follow CDC-recommended guidelines. Turkey Hill officials said they are making every effort to provide the affected team member and other workers with the necessary resources and support.
