LIMERICK — St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish Church is preparing to resume public Masses since the Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced its plan to reopen.
The Rev. Paul Brandt welcomed fellow priests, deacons and parishioners to the Swamp Pike church on Thursday evening to review the reopening plan when Montgomery County is allowed to enter the the "yellow" phase under state guidelines on June 4.
Attendees donned masks and socially distanced while Brandt discussed the guidelines for attending Mass.
“I want everyone to have clear understanding as to how this process will unfold. A priority for our parish is that parishioners feel safe and comfortable returning to worship in our community," Brandt said. "The meeting is an opportunity to give clear information and to be open to the concerns and questions that individuals may have.”
St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish is looking forward to its congregation returning to church with Masses resuming the weekend of June 6 and 7. The church will also continue to provide livestreaming of the Mass on YouTube.
