TRAPPE — The Audubon Symphony Orchestra, an amateur ensemble based in Trappe, PA, will offer free holiday concerts in Trappe and King-of-Prussia this December.
The concerts will feature holiday favorites, some less familiar seasonal works, and in a first for the organization, the premier performances of an orchestral composition by one of its own members.
The Audubon Symphony is celebrating its 28th year. The orchestra began as a program of the Audubon YMCA but has been independent since 2006. Its musicians come from throughout the area. The orchestra always welcomes new members; it rehearses Wednesday evenings at St. Luke’s UCC Church in Trappe from September through May.
• The Trappe concert will take place on Dec. 13 at St. Luke’s UCC Church at 8:00 p.m., 200 W Main St.
• The King of Prussia performance will be on Sunday, Dec. 15, at 4:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 132 E. Valley Forge Rd.
