The cast of "Calendar Girls," which runs through March 15 at the Forge Theatre in Phoenixville.

Forge Theatre is proud to present its spring production, Tim Firth’s "Calendar Girls." This heartwarming and funny show is based on a true story and on the movie of the same name.

When Annie’s husband John dies of leukemia, her friends in Yorkshire’ Women’s Institute come up with a creative way to raise money to honor the memory of a loved one: by posing nude for a calendar! These small-town women are not prepared for the stir that their actions will cause — or the strain it will put on their friendships. As they all struggle to deal with their newfound fame, they eventually come to remember what truly matters in life: love and friendship.

"Calendar Girls" runs Feb. 28, 29, March 6, 7, 8, 13, 14 and 15. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8 pm, with Sunday matinees beginning at 2 pm.

Tickets are $16 for adults and are available at or by calling 610-935-1920.

Located at 241 1st Ave., Forge Theatre provides year-round live theatrical entertainment in the heart of Phoenixville.
