All-PAC-10 girls soccer team picked

Phoenixville junior midfielder Cecelia Knaub and junior forward Lauren Benner were named to the All-Pioneer Athletic Conference girls soccer first team for 2013 in voting by the league coaches.

Spring-Ford was represented on the first team by senior Megan Giannopoulos, sophomore Laura Suero, senior Sammy Stipa and senior Aley-Kate McKinley.

Perkiomen Valleys player chosen for the first unit was senior Rachel Yenney.


Phoenixville junior defensive back Lahela Worley and senior midfielder Gia Tedesco were named to the second team.


Also named to the second team were Spring-Ford sophomore Taylor Newhart, senior Sarah Hancock, sophomore Bri Cirino and Pope John Paul II junior Lauren Dao.


Phoenixville senior goalkeeper Bri Cooley, freshman forward Kaitlyn Casiano and sophomore defender Sarah Weston were chosen as honorable mention players.

Also selected for this group were Spring-Ford sophomore Gabby Vagnozzi and Perkiomen Valley freshman Hannah Thomas, senior Hayley Jampo and Pope John Paul II senior Lilla Walls.
