The organization welcomed a pair of 2013 Marque Squad 2 Type-II van-style twin ambulances in March for its Phoenixville Division, located at Phoenix Hose Co., 170 Church St., Phoenixville.

"A big factor for us to purchase van-style ambulances [rather than box-style ambulances] was the big cost savings," stated Renee Sullivan, community outreach coordinator for Trappe Ambulance.

CHARLESTOWN - Bella Napoli outscored Phoenixville Federal Bank & Trust, 55-38, in the second half to post a 97-84 victory to capture the 2014 Valley Forge Christian College Men's Summer Basketball League championship July 29 at The Pit gymnasium.

Bella Napoli trailed at halftime, 46-42, but turned up the intensity during the second half to take the victory and the playoff title.

<![CDATA[Metalwork exhibit to bring past, present together in Phoenixville]]> The public will have the chance to learn about Phoenixville's history as a steel town and see artwork produced in a modern iron forge when the Historical Society of the Phoenixville Area's newest exhibit opens Friday.

The exhibit is titled "Blasting Heavy Metal! Inside the Phoenix Iron Company" and features the society's collection of artifacts and archives from the steel company that was once the heart of the borough as well as the metal sculpture and other work of local metalsmiths Ian Coleman and Alicia Mann.

<![CDATA[Paved road extended to far end of Medal of Honor Grove]]> The Friends of the Medal of Honor Grove announce an important enhancement in the Grove. For the first time in its history, there is now a paved road along the Hawaii and Alaska acres at the far end of the Grove.

These back acres were often overlooked by visitors and viewed as a wooded area. This new roadway will now allow the public to enjoy the Grove in its entirety on paved roadway.
