Troop K serves Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.

The report shows that between July 3 and July 6, troopers investigated 78 vehicle crashes in which 14 people were injured.

LIMERICK - In light of the severe weather the township's citizens have endured this year, officials are considering extending opportunities for yard waste disposal which might also make the municipality some money.

Currently, the township offers a no-charge, once-a-month drop-off for yard waste but some residents have said that is not convenient enough for them, especially with the rough winter and heavy thunderstorms that have already occurred this year.

After a summer storm ripped through the region Tuesday night, more than 30,000 people in the PECO coverage area are still without power.

As of 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, company representative Romona Riscoe Benson said there were approximately "27,800 customers in Chester County without power.

PHOENIXVILLE - Officials in the Phoenixville Area School District are ready to move forward with their new school project after receiving a copy of a Chester County judge's decision rejecting objections made by the owners of Meadow Brook Golf Club.

UPPER PROVIDENCE - An investigation into an SUV found burning near a PECO substation was opened late Monday night.

The Royersford Fire Department responded to a call for a vehicle on fire on an access road off of Hafner Road around 9:24 p.m.

A source said a vehicle was found against fencing at the substation but had not actually crossed into or damaged PECO property.

<![CDATA[Devon Prep baseball rallies around ailing facilities director]]> It may have been Friday the 13th, but bad luck was not a problem for Devon Prep's Varsity Baseball team as they defeated Elk County Catholic at Penn State University for the PIAA Class A State Championship.

This small, private school, with barely 200 students, competed against schools with more than three, four and five times the enrollment, and went all the way to the state championship for the first time in the school's history.
