A group of veterans led the procession, which began at Augustus Lutheran Church and ended at Water Works Park. Antique cars and trucks also joined in the ceremony, giving rides to the many veterans who participated in the procession.

It reads that this small, sloping plot of land, surrounded on three sides by tall trees, is the final resting place of 17 Revolutionary War soldiers whose names have long been forgotten.
