COMMISSIONER JOE GALE: Pa. voters should veto second term for Gov. Wolf

With Christmas quickly approaching, stores are bustling with shoppers and neighborhoods glow with Christmas lights and decorated trees. The many traditions and holiday carols sometimes outshine the true reason for Christmas: The Birthday of Jesus Christ.

During this year’s Christmas season, there is debate in Harrisburg over whether babies that have lived 20 weeks in their mother’s womb shall have the right to a birthday or should be threatened by dismemberment abortion.

The Pennsylvania House and Senate have passed a bill (SB3) that would restrict abortions of a baby after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

However, abortion advocate Gov. Tom Wolf has pledged to veto the bill and is parading around with other far-left radical liberals who oppose the bill which gives innocent unborn children a chance at life.

Governor Wolf has long been an activist for the abortion industry. Wolf even served as a “patient escort” for Planned Parenthood where he physically ushered unborn babies to their demise.

The people of Pennsylvania deserve better than a morally-bankrupt, abortion zealot leading their state.

In 2015, when the Montgomery County Republican Party endorsed a former board member of Planned Parenthood as their Nominee for County Commissioner, I announced my candidacy and, with the help of Montgomery County voters, defeated the GOP endorsed candidates.

Similarly in 2017, when Reading School District was looking to place Planned Parenthood guidance counselors in Reading High School, I was the only elected official at the county, state, or federal level to go to Berks County and join disenfranchised families and students in opposing this depraved plan. That effort made national news when the 9 member Democrat board voted 5-4 against Planned Parenthood.

In 2018, in response to Gov. Wolf’s pledge to veto this bill, I join the effort to veto Gov. Wolf’s bid for re-election.
