Since 2011, Allied Wire and Cable has provided a college scholarship for the children of its employees. For the employee’s child to be considered for the scholarship, the employee must be with Allied for at least three years, the child must have at least a 3.0 GPA, and submit an essay with their application.

There are two recipients of the scholarship for 2017. The first recipient is Lea Feldman, daughter of employee Larry Feldman. Lea will be attending Cedar Crest College to study forensic psychology and biology. The second recipient is Mike Gantert, son of long time employee, Holly Gantert. This is the second year that Mike has received the scholarship and will be attending Millersville University for Marketing. He is Holly’s second child to receive the scholarship.
