On Saturday, Sept. 27, the Schwenksville High School Class of 1964 honored Mr. Richard J. Carfagno of Harleysville and Mr. George E. Romasco of Collegeville at a dinner social held in observance of the 50th anniversary reunion of the class.
Mr. Carfagno taught math and Mr. Romasco taught English, first at Schwenksville High School and later at Perkiomen Valley High School when the school districts merged. Mr. Romasco was also the class advisor.
Forty-seven class members and guests enjoyed a sumptuous buffet at the Bay Pony Inn in Lederach. Members and guests were treated to a running photo presentation depicting more than 62 years of memories compiled by Ken Nace of Telford. Class members came from Florida, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia, some for the first time in the 50 years since the class graduated. A good time was had by all and class members agreed to get together every year for a picnic or some other kind of social.
