The Board of Directors of Phoenixville Federal Bank & Trust is pleased to continue its annual tradition of giving back to the community. On Wednesday evening, January 15th, many local non-profit and community organizations attended the Bank’s Celebration of Giving Reception, held at the Columbia Station in Phoenixville.

P. Douglas Darlington, President/COO, welcomed more than seventy-five representatives from the Phoenixville, Kimberton, Collegeville, Royersford, and Limerick communities. Area libraries, historical societies, youth athletic leagues, educational organizations, civic groups, art and music associations, nature centers, and several area fire, ambulance and police departments were invited to be the beneficiaries of the bank’s annual tithing program, this year totaling over $52,000.

Expressing his appreciation to those in attendance, Darlington said, “This evening we are gathering together in one place to emphasize that it is not one person, or even one organization, which makes a community thrive.” He continued, “The people in this room are the movers and the shakers, and in a lot of cases, the unsung heroes of our community. No one can do it alone. Without [all of you] plus the staff and the hundreds of volunteers who donate their time and talents, our community would not be as vibrant as it is. We believe this is a cause for celebration!”
