PHOENIXVILLE >> Phoenixville Police spent part of their Tuesday chasing down an unusual suspect.

According to a post from Phoenixville Police, officers from East Pikeland and Phoenixville spent some time trying to corral a rogue horse that made its way into downtown Phoenixville without its rider.

Police said the horse made its way to Phoenixville from Chester Springs north on Route 113 after it threw its 16-year-old female rider. Police say the rider was shaken up but uninjured from the fall.

Officers were able to round up the horse near The Colonial Theater with the help of a bystander.
