NORTH COVENTRY >> North Coventry Police have arrested a man after he allegedly assaulted his fiancee.
Police said they have charged Henry Walter Johnson, 26, after responding to the 600 block of West Schuylkill Road on a report of a domestic assault on Sept. 1, at 11:37 p.m.
The victim advised police that she and her fiance, identified as Johnson, were at their residence when an argument occurred. During the argument, Johnson grabbed the victim by her hair and chest, and threw her on the bed, according to authorities. Police observed signs of a struggle inside the residence and injuries to the victim.
Johnson was taken into custody for domestic assault, police said.
Johnson was video arraigned by District Judge Michaels in Phoenixville. He was charged with simple assault, harassment and false report. He was released on $15,000 unsecured bail pending his preliminary hearing.
