LIMERICK — A 17-year-old girl was allegedly touched inappropriately by her mother’s boyfriend while they were alone and waiting for the woman to return from work.
Donald Earl Levengood II, 53, of Limerick, was arraigned on several charges of corruption of minors and harassment Wednesday before District Judge Walter Gadzicki.
In June, Limerick police were notified by the father of a 17-year-old girl that his daughter informed him of “inappropriate sexual contact” which allegedly occurred during a visit at her mother’s home in the Linfield section of the township.
In an interview with the girl and her father, police were told that Levengood picked up the girl for a weekend visit June 13 while her mother was still away at work, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed by police.
“When [the victim] and Levengood arrived at the house, they were alone,” police said. “While waiting for the mother to be done work, [the victim] reported that she was sitting on a couch in the living room. Levengood sat next to [her] so close that their shoulders were touching.”
At that point, Levengood allegedly made a comment about the victim’s body and then asked her to expose herself to him while touching her lower body, the affidavit said.
He attempted to grab another part of her body but the girl “told him to go away and get off her,” according to the affidavit.
Levengood then reportedly told the victim not to tell anyone about their “little secret.”
Limerick police interviewed Levengood June 17, two days after the initial report of the alleged abuse came in. He reportedly told them he knew the girl was 17 years old and admitted to touching the victim and making inappropriate comments, including asking her to expose herself.
In addition to corruption of minors and harassment charges, Levengood will also face criminally attempted indecent assault, indecent assault by forcible compulsion, and endangering the welfare of children, according to court documents.
Levengood waived his preliminary hearing and his bail was set at $25,000 unsecured.
