The Humane Society of Berks County brought its annual Pints for Pups event to Phoenixville for the first time Saturday.

The event, held at the corner of Bridge and Main streets in the municipal lot next to Pepperoncini Sotto, gave patrons the chance to sample craft beers and listen to music with their furry four-legged friends. All proceeds from ticket sales are going directly to veterinary and pet care programs in under-served and impoverished areas.

Attendees got to sample beers from Sly Fox, Weyerbacher, Coronado Brewing Company and Harpoon Brewery, among others, and were able to take home a commemorative one-pint beer glass featuring art by Berks County artist Adrienne Trafford, as well. The event even included doggie “beer” and treats at Spike’s Doggie Bar for the pets.
