UPPER PROVIDENCE — Township Police are looking for burglars who target homes when they are unoccupied throughout the township.
A press release from the police said the burglaries have occurred throughout June and July.
“These burglaries have involved forced entries while residents were not at home,” the release said. “These burglaries have taken place at nighttime as well as during the daytime hours.”
Police are unsure if the burglaries are all tied together or if they’re being perpetrated by different individuals.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Upper Providence Police at 610-933-7800, extension 146.
“Residents are asked to be vigilant in monitoring activities in their communities by reporting any suspicious persons or vehicles,” the release said. “Additionally, residents should take extra precautions by making sure their residences are locked and properly lighted at nighttime.”
The police also said residents heading away on vacation should stop mail service and can “provide notice of [their] vacation to the police department as well.”
