Perkiomen Valley Middle School evacuated after bomb threat; state police investigating

PERKIOMEN — Perkiomen Valley Middle School was evacuated Friday morning after a report of a bomb threat.

Montgomery County emergency services received a call at 7:15 a.m from an unknown caller that said there was going to be an explosion at an undisclosed school, according to a press release from the Pennsylvania State Troopers’ Skippack barracks.

State police determined that the call may have been made by a student at the Perkiomen Valley Middle School.

An investigation by state police is ongoing.
