Phoenixville Marian Youth Club (PMYC) field hockey has announced registration dates and times for girls ages 6-11. They will be Saturday, June 7, from 9-10:30 a.m.; Tuesday, June 10, from 6-7:30 p.m.; Wednesday, June 11, from 6-7:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 14, from 9-10:30 a.m.
Information is also included on the PMYC website. First-time players must bring birth certificates. A parent or guardian needs to be present at the time of sign-ups. Players who turn 6 during 2014 are eligible, but players who turn 12 during 2014 are not eligible. All registrations will take place at Charlestown Park in the PMYC Field Hockey Office.
Tryouts for the 2014 Keystone State Games’ Delaware Valley team will be held for all players living in Montgomery, Chester and Bucks counties. The Scholastic Team is for all players graduating 2015 and 2016; the Junior Team is for all players graduating 2017, 2018 and some 2019 grads. Tryouts will be held at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 8, at Sundstrom Field, pottstown; 7:30 a.m. Sunday, June 15, at Spring-Ford High School; and Sunday, June 22, at Lincoln University.

The “First Responders Baseball Camp” for players ages 6-14 will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from June 23-27 at the Limerick Community Park. The camp will benefit local fire rescue, ambulance and police departments. Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church has announced that it will host its first annual Knights of Columbus Golf Tournament at Gilbertsville Golf Course on Sunday, June 22. Reservations are required, and the deadline for registration is June 12.
There is a golf fee that includes greens fee, golf cart, hot dog, pig roast dinner, beer, soda and prizes. There is also a lesser charge for those who just wish to have dinner. Full payment is due by June 12. Checks should be made payable to KofC Council 15456.
