The “First Responders Baseball Camp” for players ages 6-14 will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from June 23-27 at the Limerick Community Park. The camp will benefit local fire rescue, ambulance and police departments. Guests will include Bill Hohn (former National League umpire for 33 years) and Bobby Wine (former player/coach/and scout for more than seven decades. GOLF

The Phoenixville Area Police Athletic League (PAL) is teaming up with Pickering Valley Golf Course to teach golf to youngsters ages 7-13. Kids will be taught the fundamental skills of golf, which will also help build their confidence, integrity and resilience.

The four-week clinic is scheduled for May 12, 19 and June 2 from 5-6 p.m. There is a fee, which includes a one-hour golf lesson conducted by golf pros Bobby Bohrer and Joy Thompson as well as golf clubs and a snack at the end of each lesson. Players will be taught golf etiquette, sportrsmanship and key skills.

The Valley Forge Christian College (VFCC) in Charlestown Township is seeking a fulltime head women’s soccer coach, accordting to athletic director Jon Mack.

The job entails coaching, budgeting, spiritual leadership and recruiting. The position will be combined with an administrative role.

This employment requires at least a bachelor’s degree and preferably a master’s degree. Two to three years of coaching and recruiting experience at the college level is also required. The candidate should have storng organizational and writing skills, and computer skills are also needed.

The PAC-10 football coaches will hold their third annual Senior Bowl at 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, at Spring-Ford High School’s Coach McNelly Stadium. Pottsgrove’s Rick Pennypacker and Methacton’s Paul Lepre will lead the Freedom and Liberty teams, respectively.
