LIMERICK >> There is only one seat open on the township’s board of supervisors and two men are seeking it.
Patrick Morroney is the Democratic candidate and Thomas J. Lane is the Republican.
In his response to Digital First Media’s candidate questionnaire, Morroney, 52, wrote that he decided to run in order to bring “change in the township with transparency and open government, fiscal responsibility before the fact for all citizens.”
A work planner, with a bachelor’s degree in management, Morroney is vice commander U.S. Coast Guard auxiliary and president of Washington Hose Company Coatesville bureau of fire, deputy emergency coordinator, captain of fire police.
His priorities, if elected is “open communication; ending business in executive sessions; encourage public discussion televise township meetings.”
Lane did not provide a response to Digital First Media’s candidate questionnaire.
