PMYC football roundup: Lions, Steelers win

CHARLESTOWN - The Little Brothers Lions and Big Brothers Steelers posted shutouts in Phoenixville Marian Youth Club (PMYC) football action Oct. 28 at Charlestown Park.

The Lions blanked the Cardinals, 34-0, while the Steelers shut out the Vikings, 19-0.

The Lions’ Dillon Brennan scored three touchdowns in the contest. in the first quarter, Brennan intercepted a pass and ran 13 yards for a score. In the second period, Brennan raced 47 yards for a TD. And in the fourth quarter, Brennan ran 22 yards for a TD.

Elijah Martin had an eight-yard scoring run in the second period, and Alex Wielage ran 56 yards for a TD on a kickoff return in the third stanza.


D.J. Clark ran for an extra point after the first TD and had a second one in the second quarter. Ethan Smith also ran for extra points in the third and fourth quarters.

The Lions led 7-0 after one period and 20-0 at halftime. They added single TDs in the third and fourth periods.

In the Big Brothers game, the Steelers led 7-0 after one period and 13-0 at halftime. They notched their final TD during the third period.

Justin Blakey ran 45 yards for the first Steeler TD and Miles Davido followed with a two-yard scoring run in the second quarter. David Bolles passed 47 yards to Liam Myers in the third quarter for the last TD.

Bolles ran for an extra point following the opening score.
