Barry Blog: PAC-10 Football Race to be decided

Currently, Pottsgrove is undefeated while Spring-Ford and Perkiomen Valley each have one loss. Spring-Ford defeated Perkiomen Valley early on, and Pottsgrove topped Spring-Ford in previous contests.

This Friday evening in Graterford, Perkiomen Valley hosts Pottsgrove in the last of the three major head-to-head meetings among the leader schools. There will be one of two final results after the 7 p.m. contest at Thomas J. Keenan Stadium.

If Pottsgrove wins, the Falcons will likely run the table in the PAC-10 and lay claim to an undisputed league championship. But if Perkiomen Valley wins, the Vikings will throw the league into an unprecedented three-way tie for first place between Pottsgrove, Spring-Ford and Perkiomen Valley.

PV and Pottsgrove played a tight tussle last year, and this one figures to be very much the same. Both sides feature many talented skill players and linemen on offense and defense. They both have strong head coaches with Rick Pennypacker at Pottsgrove and Scott Reed at Perkiomen Valley.

Both of them have solid assistant coaches working with them as well.

It should be a great game and it deserves a great crowd to come out and watch it.

It should be a barnburner.
