The Phoenixville Phantoms football team will be hosting its second annual “Operatrion American Pride” night on Friday night, Sept. 27, during a Pioneer Athletic Conference game against Pope John Paul II at Washington Field.
There will be a tribute to local heroes, icnuding local fire, police, emergency and military personnel. The local heroes will all receive free entrance to the game that night.
The pre-game activities will start at 6:30 p.m. with the kickoff at 7 p.m. Pre-game activities include a tunnel of heroes and their families, cheering the team as the Phantoms enter the field.
The night will include a program designed to honor the mena nd women who dedicate their lives to preserve our safety and freedom. In addition to the pre-game tunnel of valor, a color guard, patriotic music and a halftime tribute to the heroes are among the evening’s events. During halftime, local heroes will be honroed by the team, school and dignitaries from local and state government.
All spectators are requested to wear Red, White and Blue or “camo” to show support for local heroes.
