UPPER FREDERICK — A Perkiomenville was suffered major injuries when his car overturned and hit a utility pole around 11 a.m. Aug. 3. According to information from the Skippack barracks of the Pennsylvania State Police, Mark DeRewal, 56, was driving a 1989 Nissan 240SX too fast for road conditions when he failed to negotiate a left curve in the 1000 block of Perkiomenville Road and lost control, causing the car to overturn and hit the pole, De Rewal was taken by Upper Perkiomen EMS to Lehigh Valley Trauma Center.
TRAPPE — Police are investigating after multiple tires were punctured on vehicles in the 60 block of Oak Road between 10:30 p.m. Aug. 5 and 3 a.m. Aug. 6, according to information from the Skippack barracks of the Pennsylvania State Police. PERKIOMEN TWP. — Police are investigating after someone stole money from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 700 block of Martingale Road between 11 a.m. Aug. 5 and 5 a.m. Aug. 6. UPPER HANOVER — Someone pried open a door to get into a property in the 1100 block of Station Road between 1:30 p.m. July 31 and 1:30 p.m. Aug. 6, according to police. The interior door was damaged. Nothing was reported stolen. CHARLESTOWN — A silver Buick is sought after a two-car crash on Charlestown Road north of Pickering Dam around 5:05 p.m. Aug. 9. According to police, a Pottstown man, Stephen Persad, 49, was driving a 2000 Ford Focus north on Charlestown Road when he braked suddenly while negotiating a left turn in the road and drove off the right side of the road, striking a guard rail. The Ford then hit the Buick, which was also headed north on Charlestown Road. The Buick left the scene without exchanging information, police said. WARWICK — Police are investigating after a purse was stolen from a church camp. According to information from the Embreeville barracks of the Pennsylvania State Police, between 2:30 and 3 p.m. July 29, the purse containing $60, a First Niagara debit card, a Kohl’s credit card, the victim’s driver’s license, a paycheck, car keys and house keys was taken from Harmonyville Church of the Brethren, 2307 Harmonyville road. UPPER FREDERICK — Burglars broke into a home in the 1500 block of Becker Road between 11:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Aug. 11 and stole several items. According to the Skippack barracks of the Pennsylvania State Police, the burglars forced open the rear door of the home and took a TV, jewelry box, and an Xbox console and fled.
