Duffy AOH presents scholarship

Members of the AOH (Ancient Order of Hibernians) Division 6 Officer Jack Duffy and Monsignor Patrick Sweeney, pastor of St. Eleanor Parish in Collegeville, presented check to St Eleanor parish student Jake Maya,to help with tuition for high school at Pope John Paul II.
Jake won the AOH’s annual Harry Ench Essay Contest, receiving a check for $500.
The essay contest is for students who plan on attending Pope John Paul II who have written 500-word essay on the value of a Catholic education.
The student who presents the winning essay receives a one-time check for $500 from the AOH Division 6 to Pope John Paul II high school to help with freshman tuition.
