Perkiomen Valley’s Bryce Womack and Sean Tornetta as well as Spring-Ford’s Matt Della Croce and Carter Gensler were among boys lacrosse standouts who were chosen to play in the 2013 Brine National Lacrosse Classic.
Womack and Tornetta will both be seniors for the Vikings in the fall. Womack was picked as a second team All-Pioneer Athletic Conference goalie. He also plays club ice hockey. Tornetta, a first team all-league choice, already has totaled 101 career goals. The Vikes were also named Brine NLC All-Americans.
Della Croce and Gensler will both be sophomores for the Rams. Della Croce helped lead the Rams to their third straight PAC-10 championship. Della Croce was named first team as an all-league short stick specialist.
The Brine National Classic will be played July 1-3 at the Maryland Soccerplex in Boyds, Md. The players already competed during the Pride of Pennsylvania Showcase at Cabrini College.
The Brine National Lacrosse Classic bring the top high school lacrosse players in the country to one venue, where regional teams will compete to become the 2013 national champions.
