Phoenixville Marian Youth Club (PMYC) will conduct registration for the 2013 Football/Flag & Cheerleading season at its Charlestown Park facilities beginning on Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The facility is located behind Valley Forge Christian College.
Registration is for boys ages 5-14 years old. Additional registration dates are as follows: July 27, 10-12; July 29, 6:30-8; July 31, 6:30-8; Aug. 3, 10-12; Aug. 6, 6:30-8; Aug. 8, 6:30-8; and Aug. 12, 6:30-8.
All eligible players are required to register, including returning players. All new players are required to provide a copy of their birth certificates. All players need to have a parent or guardian present at the time of registration.

Summer tennis clinics through the Phoenixville Area Recreation Department are scheduled on a four-week program Monday through Friday from June 17-July 19. The annual “Orange Crush” Tournament will be played July 22-27.
Clinics are designed for various ability levels of players entering Grades 2-12. Emphasis on the six basic strokes: forehand, backhand, volley, serve, lob and overhead along with singles and doubles play strategies. There will be no classes the week of July 1-5.
Location is Phoenixville High School, Fisher Court and Kimberton Park.
Time is 9-9:30 a.m. for Beginners (Grades 2-5); 9:30-10 a.m. or Beginners (Grades 6-9); 10-10:45 a.m. Advanced Beginners; 10:45-11:30 a.m. Intermediate; and 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Advanced.
Cost for Phoenixville/East Pikeland residents is $35 for two weeks and tournament/$70 four weeks and tournament. Cost for non-residents is $40 for two weeks and tournament and $80 four weeks and tournament.

Tryouts for the 2013 Delaware Valley team to the Keystone State Games will be held for all players living in Montgomery, Chester and Bucks counties. The Millersville baseball coaching staff has opened registration for four summer camps aimed at high school level players. The camps including the Advanced Pitching/Catching Camp, Advanced Hitting Camp, Fire Cracker College Experience and Keystone State College Coaches Clinic.
The Advanced Pitching/Catching Camp and Advanced Hitting Camps both run from Monday, June 24-Tuesday, June 25, and are for players in grades 7-12. Both camps focus on mechanics, drills, video work and the mental approach. The camps run from 9-11:30 a.m. both days. Registration for both two-day camps is $100.
The Fire Cracker College Experience is for players in Grades 9-12 and runs from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on July 3. Space is limited to the first 30 applicants. This camp offers a unique learning opportunity for high school players. It is a highly instructional camp geared twoard each player’s goals of playing at the next level. Cost is $100 for the camp.
The Keystone State College Coaches Clinic is in its second year. It runs from Saturday, Aug. 17-Sunday, Aug. 18, for players in Grades 9-12. Colleges from five states have been invited to attend, allowing players to showcase abilities in front of coaches. The camp, which runs from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., each day costs $200.
