PHOENIXVILLE —The Kiwanis Club in Phoenixville announces that it will once again be sponsoring its annual Duck Race.
The race will take place on Saturday, July 13, in conjunction with the annual Phoenixville Blobfest activities. The stub from every ticket sold will be stuffed into a plastic duck and the ducks will be dropped from the bridge over French Creek. Kiwanis members will collect the ducks as they “cross the finish line” and cash prizes will be awarded. There is guaranteed prize money of a minimum of $2,750.00.
The duck race also offers a fundraising opportunity for non-profit organizations in Phoenixville. Any non-profit organization is invited to sell duck race tickets.
For each ticket sold, the organization will receive $2.50. Any non-profit organization interested in selling tickets is asked to complete an application and return it to the Kiwanis Club. Once we receive the organization’s application we will get their tickets to them immediately.
Interested organizations should call 610-783-7165 to obtain an application and to receive additional information about the duck race.
