Tyrrell's Tidbits: Transitions with The Phoenix-Reporter-Item

Well, this is our third edition since the merge of The Phoenix, Spring-Ford Reporter and Valley Item newspapers. A lot of work and planning has been done for the new editions.

We’ve done our best to incorporate the three main coverage areas on the front page and in the inside: Phoenixville, Spring-Ford and Perkiomen Valley.

I have had calls about suggestions. Feedback means you are reading the paper and that is a good thing. It is disconcerting when I don’t get comments because then I don’t know what you are thinking or if you liked the articles we had in the paper.

The merge is still very new for us. We are working to improve the print version and keep the website updated daily to provide you with even more news than we were before.

I still welcome you to let me know when you like something and when you hate something.

This is a community newspaper so it’s important that we listen to our community. What would you like to see more of? Do you have a story idea for us?

Also, since this is a community newspaper, we welcome submissions. Did your children just perform during a school concert and you snapped some pictures? Send them to us. Are you taking a walk, see a beautiful sunset and take a picture?

Have a flower garden you are proud of? Send us the pictures! There are many wonderful things in the community we may not know about or get to see. It’s great when you share your lives with us and readers.
