Phoenixville Kiwanis Club's travel and adventure April program features Holland

The Phoenixville Kiwanis Club's April travel program will be about Holland.

PHOENIXVILLE — On Tuesday, April 9, at 7 p.m., the Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville will hold a special showing of the award-winning travelogue- “Discovering the Dutch.” Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The program will feature a high definition film narrated in person by its cinematographer Sandy Mortimer. “Discovering the Dutch” will include palaces, parks, great museums and the people of the Netherlands. Winner of many awards as a film producer and narrator, Mortimer will provide rich insight into a fascinating and colorful nation. Among the many places visited in the program will be the Royal Palace, the Anne Frank House, the Delft Factory, and the enormous Alsmeer Flower Auction. Attendees will discover that the Netherlands is much more than windmills, tulips and wooden shoes.

For the 38th year, the Phoenixville Kiwanis Club has offered a series of award-winning travelogues as a community service promoting international understanding and an appreciation of our world’s many cultures. Kiwanis Travel and Adventure Programs are both informative and a great evening of family entertainment. All profits from the series go directly to support Kiwanis service projects in the Phoenixville community.

The program will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Phoenixville, 145 South Main Street. Tickets will be sold at the door.
