SPRING CITY — A 20-year-old borough man was arrested after being linked to multiple incidents of thefts from cars.
John Richard Wade Jr. was arrested March 24 by the Spring City Police after an investigation allegedly turned up stolen items at the front of his Poplar Street residence. Police responded to the area earlier for reports of vehicle thefts on the 100 block of Poplar Street.
Police determined Wade was “involved in other thefts from vehicles overnight.” Additionally, Wade will face charges for another incident March 8. According to court paperwork, that incident involved the attempted break-in of a vehicle.
When Wade was arrested, police said he was also in possession of drug paraphernalia.

He’s also charged with possessing drug paraphernalia.
In the March 8 incident, misdemeanor charges of attempted theft from a vehicle, loitering and prowling at night and disorderly conduct were filed.
Bail information for the March 8 incident was unavailable but for the alleged March 24 thefts, Wade’s bail was set at $30,000 cash.
He did not post it and was remanded to Chester County Prison.
Since his arrest, police said Wade has been linked to three additional criminal cases.
According to court paperwork, Wade has been arrested before on drug-related charges.
Anyone who believes they’re a victim of a theft from their vehicle is encouraged to contact the Spring City Police to report it. Additional information may help their investigations, police said.
