Head coach: John Brennan, 9th season.
2012 record: 5-3 PAC-10, 7-10 overall.
Key Returnees: Seniors: Joey Graziadei, John Gracie, Seth Ryberg, Jon Palmer. Juniors: Luke Emerson, Zach Collier. Sophomores: Ryan Schweitzer, Todd Unger.
Newcomers: Juniors: Cameron Trager, Collin Shaw, Rubin Fernandez. Sophomores: Mike McCabe, Tyler Lelii, John Fazzini. Freshman: Patrick Pascual.
Outlook: “Graduating the school’s all-time leader in singles wins (Tyler Triolo) will be a tough task,” said Brennan. “But we have a lot of guys back from last year that gained valuable experience in league and in non-league matches. Early on it looks like we can return two of our four doubles teams from last year, plus we are returning two singles players. The kids worked hard over the offseason, and I think that will help the varsity newcomers. The team knows there is some really good competition in the PAC-10 this year, but we are hungry to go out and compete for a championship.”
Head coach: Tim Hughes, 17th season.
Assistant coaches: Shawn Corropolese, Dan Miscavage.
2012 record: 16-2 PAC-10, 20-5 overall. The Rams lost to Central Bucks South in the third round of District 1-AAAA playoffs last year.
Key returnees: Seniors: Haleigh Williams, pitcher; Bri Kofer, outfielder.
Outlook: “We graduated seven seniors last year so we are going to have a lot of young players inserted into the lineup, which typically means a longer learning curve,” said Hughes.
Head coach: Bruce Brobst, 9th season.
2012 record: 15-8.
Key losses: Cody Clarke, Richie Michaud, Tom Grablewski, Kristian DeLuzio, Louie Vining, Tyler Shronk, Ryan Conway, Angelo Kelly.
Key returnees: Tyler Eckman, senior, pitcher; David Gulati, junior, shortstop; Corey Rantz, junior, catcher; Hank Coyne, senior, pitcher; Kyle McKelvy, senior, pitcher; RJ Sheldon, senior, pitcher.
Outlook: Eckman posted 5-2 record and was named second team All-PAC-10 pitcher.
“We have a young group of players, but very inexperienced at the varsity level,” said Brobst. “We do have some pitching experience, and I hope it will carry us through while other players learn and develop. The success of our season will depend upon how quickly and well the players adapt to this level of play and get as a team.”
Head coach: Kevin Donnelly, 10th season.
2012 record: 17-4 overall, 15-1 PAC-10 champions.
Key returnees: Paul Major, attack; Ian Hare, defense; DJ Young, midfielder; Christian McCormick, attack; Matt Messerle, goalie.
Outlook: “The team has a lot of returners from the 2012 campaign,” said Donnelly. “As we always do, we are attempting to improve on the previous year’s accomplishments and set new heights for the program. We are looking forward to an exciting year.”
Head coach: Amy Short, 3rd season.
2012 record: 14-6 overall, 12-3 PAC-10, Final Four.
Key returnees: Erin Mensch, senior, defense; Sasha Wozniak, senior, midfield; Briana Barone, senior, midfield; Leann Shaw, senior, attack; Caleigh Falco, senior, defense; Kira Gensler, junior, midfield; Madison Dishman, junior, defense.
Outlook: Mensch and Wozniak, both four-year varsity starters, were both named to the All-PAC-10 first team, and so was Gensler as a sophomore.
“Spring-Ford has a phenomenal group of returning seniors and juniors from last season,” said Short, “as well as some young talent new to the squad. The team is excited for the competition. They have been anticipating this season since May 2012 and are willing to go the extra mile. They have worked extremely hard over the winter and we have a very positive outlook for the season.”
