PHOENIXVILLE —Many items are coming in daily for the Kiwanis Auction on March 9 to support the Phoenixville Area Senior Center. The most recent items include a number of NASCAR items: a Roush Fenway Racing Car signed by Matt Kenseth; a Hendrix Motorsport Car signed by Kasey Kahne; plus other Daytona collectibles. In addition to the racecar items other items available in the auction include two wooden pattern pieces from Phoenix Steel and a piece of Phoenixville majolica. Other items available to bid on include a 32” flat screen HDTV, Longaberger baskets, numerous restaurant gift certificates and rounds of golf at more than five golf courses. There are many more items in addition to these.
The Live/Silent Auction and Spaghetti Dinner will be held at the Covered Bridge Room of the Kimberton Fire Company. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served from 5:30 to 7. Silent auction tables will be open from 6:30 to 8:30. The live auction will begin following dinner. The event will conclude at 9:00 p.m. Food for the dinner is being donated by Franco Ristorante of Phoenixville. Dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, rolls and butter, desserts and beverages.
Proceeds from the auction and dinner will be split between the Phoenixville Senior Center and the Kiwanis Club.
In addition to the live and silent auctions, there will be numerous theme baskets for which guests may purchase chances as well as a Basket of Cheer. Fifty-fifty tickets will also be sold throughout the evening. Winning tickets for baskets and the 50-50 will be drawn at the end of the evening.
