Philadelphia Eagles player to appear at Phoenixville fundraiser

PHOENIXVILLE — A Philadelphia Eagles player is scheduled to make an appearance at St. Mary Franciscan Shelter’s upcoming anniversary gala.

Eagles wide receiver Jason Avant will be stopping by the shelter’s anniversary celebration and fundraiser on Saturday, March 9, at Phoenixville Foundry. The gala begins at 7 p.m.

The celebration will feature cocktails, a buffet and a live auction.

St. Mary’s has fed and housed more than 550 homeless families during the past 25 years. The gala is being held to ensure continued operation of the shelter.
