Spring-Ford elementaries receive $10,000 from Ambler Savings Bank

Ambler Savings Bank donated $10,000 to the Spring-Ford Educational Foundation Tuesday as part of its commitment to supporting educational programming through the state’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit program.
The $10,000 funding will be divided equally between two district schools — Evans and Limerick Elementary — which will use the donation to enhance curriculum and continue Spring-Ford’s 21st century classroom initiative.
“We’re a locally operated mutual savings bank,” explained Roger Zacharia, Ambler Savings Bank executive vice president and chief operating officer. “As we have no shareholders, our complete focus is serving our customers, bettering the lives of our employees, and supporting charitable and non-profit organizations within our communities. At a time when all public schools are dealing with difficult fiscal issues, we think it’s important that private businesses support our children’s education.”
