Phoenixville, Reading divide swim meet

READING - Phoenixville’s girls defeated Reading, 88-82, in a non-league swimming meet here on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012.

Devonne Moore won two individual events and swam legs on two victorious relay teams. Moore won the 200-yard freestyle (2:08.29) as well as the 100-yard backstroke (1:08.51). She also swam the second leg on the 200-yard medley relay (2:02.97) with Erin McElwee, Shawna Moore and Katie Cabot. Devonne swam the second leg on the 400 freestyle relay (3:55.50) with McElwee, Eileen Butler and Shawna Moore.

McElwee captured the 200-yard IM in 2:26.12. Shawna Moore won the 50 freestyle (:26.63). Butler finished first in the 100 butterfly (1:09.30) and the 100 breaststroke (1:17.51).

The Phantom boys fell to Reading, 114-68.

RELATED ASSETS

Josh Ziev became a double winner in the 200-yard iM (2:19.68) and 100 breaststroke (1:10.92) against the Knights.

Jake Luzins won the 100 freestyle (:53.95), and Jan Aclan finished first in the 100 backstroke (1:02.15).
