NEWTOWN SQUARE - Phoenixville’s boys basketball team split two games at the Marple Newtown Holiday Tournament Dec. 27-28, 2012.

The Phantoms dropped their opener to Central, a Philadelphia Public League “C” Division team, 63-49. Then they stopped host Marple Newtown, 73-40, in the consolation game.

The Phantoms’ Eric Wallace was named to the all-tournament team after scoring in double figures in both contests. Wallace drilled a game-high 19 points against Central with three reys and also had five rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot in the contest. He scored 13 first-half points against the Lancers with all three triples coming during the first half of action.
